KareBlokLab is established at Bogazici University Kandilli Campus for the detector readout and control electronics development and testing. The KareBlokLab is mainly located in the Feza Gürsey building with additional lab space in the new research building. The main goal of KareBlokLab is to transfer the expertise established at CERN CMS experiment to detector R&D studies in Turkey and increase the number of experts within Turkey. KareBlokLab team’s areas of interest include:

  • hardware design, firmware and software development for silicon-based detector readout, control and trigger distribution systems in a controlled environment
  • firmware and software development for high-speed, high-bandwidth data acquisition systems
  • total ionization dose and single event effect tests of electronics designed for LHC experiments
